Emmie graduated with BA Honours Degree in Marketing in 2001 and after a year working on a marketing assignment in Amman, Jordan for MWH she returned to the UK to start her career in recruitment with Elan Computing.
Emmie’s early career focussed on the public sector, initially supplying IT transformation projects; then moving into placing interims for the Metropolitan Police Service, Ministry of Justice, various local governments and quangos.
In 2012 Emmie moved into the world of HR consultancy, working for Hay Group Korn Ferry advising clients on remuneration, leadership & development, employee engagement and assessment solutions. Working with a diverse range of clients such as the Post Office, IHS and WYG; her role was to support HR teams with their retention issues. During this time Emmie ran remuneration surveys for the engineering sector to assist clients with information to tackle the talent shortage.
Over past three years Emmie has focussed on using research to inform client’s attraction and retention strategies. From using talent analytics to advise on relocation strategies, to global searches for C-suite appointments, the use of online and phone-based research enables BrightPool to provide the information needed to find and attract the right talent for our clients.
An area of passion for Emmie is diversity and inclusion. In 2017 she developed and led a piece of research on women in technology and what they prioritise when looking for a new role. Subsequently she has published a series of blogs on the topic.
Emmie works in a consultative manner with her client’s end goals firmly in sight. From succession planning for specific roles, to large contingent recruitment projects she always develops cost effective, delivery focussed solutions.
