At BrightPool we are currently looking for a Business Development Consultant to join our growing sales team.  Based in our head office in London, you will operate as a high performing new business development professional, supporting our portfolio of businesses; Talent Consulting, Project Resourcing (Contract) and Project RPO.  The key purpose of this role is to achieve a best in class partnership that drives sales qualified leads and builds close stakeholder relationships with our clients.

The role and responsibilities:

 

  • Researching and identifying relevant contacts using desk-based research and tools such as Linked In and company websites to input into and maintain a BD Contact Plan which feeds into the BrightPool Business Development strategy.
  • Proactively contacting (by phone and email) senior executives of BrightPool's existing client base and new prospects to arrange qualified meetings for the Business Development team.
  • Using marketing campaign information to qualify contacts for targeting.
  • Managing the CRM system effectively, ensuring all relevant client and meeting information is entered onto the system.
  • Diary management and organisation of the BD team ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Identify and remain up-to-date with industry and sector trends and client news and working with the BD team to identify potential business opportunities for BrightPool.
  • Ensuring activity-based targets are achieved.
  • Provide project management support for bids/tenders/pitches to ensure internal communication between BrightPool functions is efficient.
  • Provide monthly reporting related to new contacts identified, meetings generated, outcomes, sales campaigns, status against marketing plan and opportunities identified
  • Support wider projects across the BrightPool business, including the development of new propositions and market research in conjunction with marketing team
  • Updating of CDP’s where appropriate

 

Skills and Experience required:

  • Ideally degree educated or equivalent
  • Highly confident, reliable and self-motivated
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Tenacious, enthusiastic and conscientious
  • Great at building rapport/relationships
  • Determined, driven and target-orientated
  • Previous experience in a Business to Business client-facing/outbound role is desirable
